Ashleigh McIvor, Whistler
Olympics Gold Medalist

McIvor entered ski-cross at a young age, as one of the youngest on the World Cup circuit. She finished second in her first World Cup race and entered the X Games soon after. She was soon a featured athlete during the X Games, and became the face of women's ski cross. EXPN produced a one-hour profile of McIvor to illustrate the “behind the scenes” life of an X Games athlete.

The camera loves Ashleigh. She has participated in fashion shoots, modeled on runways, and secured major sportswear sponsorships because of her popularity.

McIvor began the competitive life at a very young age as a ski racer growing up in Whistler, BC. In 2003, she found the sport of Ski Cross and has not looked back. McIvor has been to four Winter X Games, with her best finish coming in 2010, earning the silver less than one month before the Olympics. Other career highlights include nine World Cup podiums, second overall in the 2010 World Cup standings, and in 2009 being crowned the 2009 World Champion in Ski Cross. Ashleigh will defend her World Champion title in February 2011.
